JADAH TEMPE

Here I will introduce a food from Sleman, Yogyakarta.
That name is Jadah Tempe. Jadah tempe is made from glutinous rice, grated
coconut, and bacem tempe. This food is a combination of two types of
traditional Javanesse food. Namely jadah which is processed food from sticky
rice and also bacem tempe. Jadah which is a food from sticky rice is usually
mixed with grated coconut which make is taste delicious.
Tempe processed by steaming has a sweet taste. How to eat
jadah tempe is very easy. Namely by eating together in one eat. Jadah tempe is
also often referred to as “Javanesse burger”. Because of how to eat it like
when he was eating burger.
Next I will tell you, what are the ingredients for making
Jadah tempe. The following are the ingredients :
The Jadah Ingredients:
1. 800g glutinous
rice (soak 1.5-2 hours)
2. 150ml of water
(heat)
3. 400g grated
coconut
4. 2 teaspoons of
salt.
Sweet Tempe
Ingredients:
1. 1200g tempeh
2. 8 bay leaves
3. 2 galangal
(rough mash)
4. 2000ml coconut
water
5. cooking oil.
Tempe jadah spice
ingredients:
1. 20 cloves of
shallot
2. 6 cloves of
garlic
3. 6 teaspoons
coriander
4. 300g brown sugar
5. 100g tamarind
(dissolve with a little water)
6. 4 teaspoons of salt
7. cayenne pepper
(to taste).
Then
will be explained how to make jadah tempe. The steps are:
1. Wash off your
sticky rice, then steam until half cooked.
2. Then cook the
sticky rice in a cooking pan with hot water until it is soft and the water is
absorbed completely.
3. Mix the grated
coconut and salt into the pan, stir and steam until cooked.
4. Remove the
sticky rice after cooking, mash until it becomes solid.
5. Using a spoon,
make a flat circle as big as your palm.
6. Now, make
marinated tempe by cutting the tempe as big as your palm.
7. Boil it in a
frying pan together with bay leaves, galangal, coconut water and tempeh jadah
spices.
8. Cook on medium
heat until it boils, stirring gently occasionally until the liquid absorbs and
dries.
9. When the liquid
is dry, remove the tempe and fry it in hot oil.
10. This is the time for you to form bacem tempe and
jadah.
11. Take a bowl that you have formed a flat round
earlier, put marinated tempeh on it.
12. Then cover with a jar again like making a burger.
13. Serve with cayenne pepper with closest friends.
